The Moral Call of the Wild

This time of year, it's tempting to hunker down indoors and limit exposure to the natural world. Modern buildings are extremely comfortable and it's easy to fall under their spell. But there are profound consequences to this indoor life, some of which go well beyond the obvious physical perils of sedentary living: obesity, diabetes and all the rest.
